Nose update..

Several of you have posted wondering about Jessie's nose.. Thank you for the concerns.. Sorry I havnt updated earlier. It's been a busy week... She actually woke up the following morning a whole lot better then we were expecting.. She didnt have the black eyes like the dr. said she would other then she was still a bit swollen and bruised a little and some slight purple bruising in the cornrer of the eyes.. I really should have taken a picture the next day or the day of to given you a better shot of what it looked like.. Today 4 days later its hard to see that anything had even happened.. You can see a little bruising in the under corner of her eye and just some slight bruising on the bridge of the nose but I think its safe to say its not broken... We had her sleep the night of the accident with an ice pack across her nose and I think that really helped alot. So other then some slight yellowish bruising now and some very little swelling it looks pretty good...

Today was the last movie day for the summer. We saw Surf's Up it is a cute show... We unfortunately did not win any prizes this time.. I think if we would have we would of got some mean looks from the audience thinking somehow we cheated since we won first prize the last 2 times we have went.. LOL The kids really enjoyed and looked forward to the movie day weds.

Now we are going to keep it going and watch a movie tonight so thats all folks...

Today our 2 youngest decided to wake everyone up at 6:00 I was so mad because Sat seems to be the only day we can really sleep in but there was no going back to sleep so I decided to take advantage of it and go run off my agression of being up so early. I had a great run and felt much better when I returned. We spent half of the day getting things done around the house that needed to be done like mowing the lawn and shaving our dog, doing some house cleaning, not exactly what we wanted to do on our 1 day together as a family but what else do you do?? We did have a great night though. We found out about a county fair near by so we took the kids down there and walked around for a while and let the kids go on a couple rides. Yep I forgot the camera again!!!! It was hot but we enjoyed it..Now we are just getting ready and preparing lessons for tomorrow. I get to teach primary tomorrow and Steve teaches sunday school to the 15 and 16 yr olds. It's been a long day and I am so ready for sleep but still need to go get my lesson done so this is it for today... Oh ya poor Jessie today.. I was just finishing up mowing our lawn and my son came out to talk to me and she was standing right behind him and he didnt know it and he went to turn and run and smaked right into her with his head right on her nose. It knocked her right flat on the ground and she was screaming like crazy and spitting blood everywhere. Her nose was just a gushing. Steve and Allie thought I had ran over her with the lawn mower. We rushed her into the bathroom and she immediatly was swelling up and both sides of her nose was just pouring blood. It was already turning blue and purple.. We are not sure but she may have a broken nose.. The Dr. said that they dont really do anything until 24 -48 hrs after so the swelling can go down before they ex-ray it to see if its broke and to just ice it off and on through the day and give her motrin.. It seems like every time we looked at it it was getting worse and worse with the bruising. Her eye has already started turning blue and purple. We will see how it looks tomorrow to determine whether its broken or not. It kinda looks cricked to me but its still to swollen to tell... Poor girl I swear everything happens to her.. She is the one I have had in the hospitals for broken arms twice, a swallowed penny, now her nose..

Summer Fun

Today was movie day again. We went to see shrek the third. They called out Allie to come draw the names out of the box for the prizes and unbelievably she drew her own name out for the 1st place prize again.. We must be lucky considering Logan won the 1st prize last time we went. Allie got everything logan did but instead of the operation game she got a shrek duffle bag. Then after the movie we went to the marina park and had a picnic with a couple other ladies and their sons so the kids had a blast, except Allie.. There was nobody there her age or any girls for that matter other then mine so she tried to be grown up and sat with us moms and listened to us talk most of the day. Jessie is more boy then she is girl so she has no problems fitting in and hanging with the boys. She could probably whip any of those boys even if they are 3 years older then her.. Logan she just played by herself up on the playground and was pretty content doing that.. The boys and jessie found a dead fish down in the water and spent the afternoon disecting it and punching holes through it and spreading its guts all over the dock. Doesn't that just sound like pure boy fun??? It was a fun day though. It really helps the day to go by faster when you do activitys like that..

Yesterday we went to the beach with Steve. He had to catch a plane at 3:00 so he promised he would take the kids and go before he left. We got up early and left and was there by 9:00 AM so we got a good 4 hrs in.. The weather was so much better then last time we went. Nice and sunny with no clouds and the water was alot calmer so the kids actually could go out and play in the waves. We even got Logan to finally come out and jump the waves with us as long as we both held her hands and would swing her up over the waves so they didnt splash up on her face. The water was still a bit on the nippy side but once you were in for a few minutes you got used to it. Of course I forgot the camera again.. But we had a great time other then the putrid smell that is out there.. It is so horrible it about makes you gag. It's like dead rotten fish smell in case you were wondering.. Yuck........

Anyways it was fun and it was hard after having such a fun morning to have steve leave again. This traveling all the time is about doing us both in... In the next 3 weeks i will only get to see him 2 1/2 days. Can you believe that. 2 DAYS out of 21.. Something is wrong with this picture....

Hopefully as of right now he only has 1 week of travel in Sept. so I'm just hoping Aug. goes by fast and that no more trips get added into the month.

If you learned today you were going to die tomorrow, name three things you would do.

First I would have my husband get on the next plane home or either me and the kids jump on one to go to him.. He's in San Diego 6-7 hr plane trip.. Second I would have the best most memorable day that I could have with my family. Third I liked Jodi's idea I would write each one of my kids a (HUGE) letter letting them know how much I love them and all of lifes secrets I'v learned so far with all the advise I could think of to get them through the things they will face in life and with all the picts i could possibly get of us together to help them remember all the good times.

Wow that was forever ago.. Probably when I was 3 0r 4 and I lived in a big home in Honeyville Utah. Nothing specific but just several memorys from that place.

Wow I would pay for just about anything if it meant less stress or work for me...i have no problem spending money and it drives my hubby bonkers.. I probably wouldnt pay for my house to be cleaned either I'm one of those that spends the whole day before cleaning if I know someone is coming to my house.

1. If I could travel back in time, I would go back to when I had my first child and do things much diffrent. Spend more time with my kids..
