Summer of 2016 has come in like a lion. It has been such a crazy summer thus far and so incredibly busy.
Here is a little catch up on this spring's soccer for Jessie. The Hot shots did much better this year. They even won a few games.
So In JulyWe had a High Adventure coming up That we were taking our Miamaids, and Laurels on and part of that was taking them on an 11 mile hike, so Carrie Hansen, Sheri Ricks, and
I decided we would go check it out and see how hard it would be. Wow it was crazy tough. The first 3-4 miles is straight up hill. I'm in pretty good shape from going to the gym in the mornings, but this was tough. Carrie was in the lead and she is a novice marathon runner so were were hauling tail. We had 5 hrs to get up and back so we went fast. Only stopping long enough to take a few swallows of water. We took about 5-10 min break at the top for lunch and then headed back down. It was a beautiful hike. It was awesome to overlook willard all the way to the salt lake valley. I think the bugs were just starting to hatch so they were really bad and thick. We had to cover our mouths and noses some of the times to keep them from going in. Blah!! I also got a tick on my leg but was able to see it and flick it off before it could start to burrow itself in. However I was pretty paranoid after that and worried of getting another one.
The Elevation was 8,030 feet up.
On the last day of school Sheri Ricks always holds a schools out party. So everyone waits for the kids to come and the bus drives through a big sighn she makes saying hooray schools out.
Uncle Matt was able to come down for a visit so we got to spend some time with them at boondocks.

And what's a family reunion with out a little family wrestling match.
Dallin won!! Dont think Austin had much a chance. LOL
Oh Girl wrestle time!!
Little Father son take down.
Poor Austin, now it was Uncle Rich's turn to take him down. Austin must have been shootin his mouth off..lol
Also as I mentioned before i had been dealing with tennis elbow for a while and so when i did go to New York I did end up Tearing one of the tendons or muscles so the doc. put me in a brace i had to wear for a month and also gave me a cortizone shot in the hopes that it would heal on its own and we could avoid surgery.
We also just a week before girls camp got a new puppy. Jessie had been begging us for a golden retriever for the past 2 years ever since she met Clare in Idaho her best friend who also had one and jessie fell in love with them and how good the dogs were so we finally caved in and let her get one. We call her Maya and she is a pretty smart dog. She still is a puppy and is dumber then a box of rocks at times but she is picking up pretty quickly on her commands we are training her with. However she sheds like a beast and we have hair everywhere in the house. We cant wait to get our yard done and a fence up so we can transition her to outside. I am a little fearful on how that will go since she is now used to being a inside dog, but we just cant have all the hair floating around the house. She is so cute and we love her.
Maya Our golden honey bear! Thats her official registered name.
So we had this crazy hail storm come through and we had hail the size of golf balls coming down. It was crazy. Never saw anything like it. We had flooding going on in our area. We ended up with 4 broken windows and dented rain gutters. Thankfully our roof did ok and didn't sustain much damage. Alot of the older homes in our area have to have their roofs replaced.

Then came the calm after the Storm. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
