Well looks like I have alot of catching up to do.

This was taken at the Rodeo in Sept. We did a pict of us last year here so we thought we would do another one.

So I got to go again with Steve to Hawaii for one of his business trips. The one good thing with him flying every week for work is the frequent flyer miles and hotel points so that I can go with him occassionally and stay for free.  After getting a daughter ready and off on a mission I needed this nice little break.

When we got there there was A Hurricanehitting just off the islands and was supposed to hit the island while we were there. We were a bit afraid of how our stay was going to be, but ended up not being bad at all. It hit further north off the island so that was nice. Saturday was the worst of it and we got rain and some wind on this day so we decided to spend it at the temple. We figured this was the safest place and we would be out of the rain. It was really cool. They do live sessions there as well.

These picts were a huge banyan tree area that they built an outdoor mall around. it was pretty awesome.

It had a little river running thorugh it on the ground floor.

After staying on the strip in Waikiki we went down further island and stayed at a Hilton and it was so cool. The grounds there are magnificent and they have shops all around there property so you really dont even meed to leave the hotel property. They had like 6 or 7 diff pools and a waterslide area and a huge outdoor lagoon that was awesome to swim in when you didnt want the surf and waves. They had big paddle bikes you could rent and paddle along on. However the water was a little colder in the lagoon verses the ocean.

 They had cool little exhibits around the hotel that had turtles and parrots and koi fish.

I layed out everyday on the beach while Steve worked. Talk about a tough life.  Loved every minute.

More random mission picts from Allie.

 Here is some picts of our landscaping we have been able to do. We have been in our house for a year now and we finally got our yard in and I am so glad. I hated dealing with the mud and especially since we have to indoor dogs now I was so tired of having to mop up the muddy footprints all the time.  Grass and trees and bushes make such a huge difference to a house. Makes it more of a home.

We finally got the rock in. We have a few more places to get it in until we are completely finished but makes it so nice. I love the color of the rock.

Here is Austin and his current girlfriend Kassidy at Homecoming. She is so beautiful and he was so handsome.

Some random picts from Allie in the Mission field. she is doing better with the homesickness. However she is already worrying about being homesick during the holidays.  We continue to pray that she will stay busy and loose herself in the work and she wont dwell on us and home. She is a fantastic missionary and is having some very awesome experiences and tender mercies. I love seeing how the gospel changes peoples lifes through her letters and how our heavenly father is aware of every single one of us and knows what we stand in need of.  She is changing lives not only there but here as well.

So Logan and Malorie worked together on planning a mutual activity dinner for the grandmas of our ward that we have been making special little gifts for throughout the year. We had a dinner and a getting to know spotlight for the grandmas. They did a great job and was able to pass off one of their project requirements for their personal project.

Here are some picts of where the boys went deer hunting this year. Super beautiful area. The first week thatSteve and rich went up to scout the area to see where they wanted to hunt a storm came in and dumped a bit of snow on them.   steve was marking the trail so they wouldnt get lost.  Uh hu. Crazy boys.

 

The following week for the actual hunt it was beautiful and the snow was all gone. Crazy fall weather.  Steve got like 3 deer in total. One he lost. One we kept and the other we gave to Rich and Kim.  Austin got a shot at one but missed.  I felt bad I was really hoping he would have been able to get his first deer. Owell he will try again I am sure when he gets home from his mission.

Today is Austin's 18th birthday. Wow where has the time gone. I am getting so old and I hate it and the fact my babies are growing up and leaving. He will finish his senior year up and then be leaving on his mission as well. UGH I cant handel this.. That is going to be super hard on me him leaving and having 2 kids out on a mission at the same time.  I guess we will be doubly blessed.

Still dont like it though!

I got to sneak into his Madrigal class today and bring some treats for the class and watch them sing Happy Birthday to him while the girls all kissed his hand. It was pretty fun. Nov 2016

 

Well soon it will be Thanksgiving and Christmas it just keeps coming by faster and faster it seems.  Will post more picts as I get them.

 
 

Well the kids have made it through the first couple weeks of School. Allie made it through the 2 1/2 weeks at the MTC and 1st week of Kentucky Barely.. LOL She has had a real rough time with homesickness and we have been a bit worried about her, but she has stuck with it and we just keep praying that every day will get a little easier for her and she will get more comfortable in serving.
